How are you?
Every mood deserves a hug.
Hugtide is a free app to share how you feel in a few seconds and get support from other people, semi-anonymously. Whoever reads how you are sends you a hug: a few kind words, picked from carefully written messages.

How it works
One tap to share, one tap to reply.

1Share how you feel
Pick one of 7 moods, from "very unpleasant" to "very pleasant", your emotions and what would help. The reason stays yours alone.

2Get and send hugs
Whoever reads your mood sends you a hug. You do the same for others, one card at a time. Only nicknames and avatars are shown.

3Get to know yourself
A private summary shows how your days are going. No scores, no judgement: only you can see it.

Not just on hard days
Joy deserves a hug too.
Good news counts double when shared. On Hugtide, people who feel good get hugs too: to celebrate together, even among strangers.
What we believe
Saying how you feel should be easy. And never into the void.
Every mood deserves to be heard
Even the ones we can't explain. Joy too.
Kindness should be simple
If helping takes too long, we put it off. A hug takes one tap.
Close without exposure
No real names, no photos, no reasons shown. You only share what you choose.
No one is left without a reply
If a hard mood gets no hugs, Hugtide itself reaches out, with a kind thought and helpline numbers.
Wellbeing is not a race
No scores, no streaks, no leaderboards.
Your data is yours
Protected in Europe, visible only to you, downloadable or deletable any time. Never sold.
What we hope will happen
Small changes that add up to a difference.
- Feeling less aloneKnowing someone read how you feel and answered, even at eleven at night.
- Naming what you feelRecognising emotions is the first step to handling them.
- Asking for help soonerOn the heaviest days, a guided breath and helpline numbers are one tap away.
- Making kindness a habitMany small gestures between strangers, every day, even beyond the screen.
What Hugtide isn't
Hugtide is not a care or emergency service and does not replace a psychologist, a doctor or a friend. The app always shows you who can really help. If you are in danger, call 112 (the European emergency number). It is not a social network: no followers, comments or private messages, and anyone who behaves badly can be reported and blocked with one tap.
Join the tide
One hug is a drop. Many hugs make a tide.
Hugtide is being born right now. For the tide to rise, we need people, skills and resources.
